Wouldn't asp.net development be better if...

  • Sites had a consistent code structure to them so we didn't need so much discipline to keep them tidy.
  • Controls were made more easily testable by splitting them into a View and a Presenter.
  • The View and Presenter were automatically connected for us so we didn't have to remember to write boilerplate code all the time.
  • We could consistently interpret Urls as describing an Action to be carried out on the conceptual model of our application.
  • The Action described in the Url was automatically invoked on an appropriate Presenter so we didn't have to do it manually.
  • Urls were generated by specifying an Action to be carried out on the conceptual model of our application so we could stay focused on the business logic instead of worrying about the location of Pages.
These are the sort of things which motivated the development of PoCoRail.
